Currently most people turn online to find more information regarding a brand, product, and service. However, most businesses don’t quite get the hang of Social Media use just yet, especially small businesses who can’t afford a high-class social media agency. But, here are a few tips and tricks for you to make social media work for your business:
Set up a schedule. Set up a Social Media schedule, whether it is monthly, or a six-monthly plan. Personally, I prefer a six-month schedule and then break it down per month, and there after weekly. I do one content post, one promotional post and one shared post from a relevant article, once a week.
Get your look & feel right. It is important for brand building to keep your look-and-feel of your posts more or less the same. Decide on what design you think will work best for your business and stick with it, it is also important to put your logo on all your design posts. (Try to use a transparent logo to give it that finished touch). There are a lot of design programs that you can make use of. (I will write a separate blog post about it).
Create Themes. To make things easier, I try to create themes or focuses per month, and out of that, I select interesting topics to write each week about and tie it back to the theme.
Use the Cover page and Events button to your advantage. Do you have important dates coming up? A new product? New news? Well, design a cover page and put all the most important information on there. The cover page is the first image your followers will see when they go onto your page. Planning an event? Then create an event and share it onto groups. You will create traction and see how many followers are interested in your event.
Create a button. People today, especially the millenniums like to do things fast, easy and prefer to keep things minimalistic. Create a call-to-action button, in that way they will have direct contact with you without the necessary hustle. Easy for you and easier for them.
Social Media doesn’t have to be intimidating and time consuming. Don’t work for Social Media, but rather let it work for you!
Still unsure how to get a Facebook page up and running? Then look out for next week’s blog post!
